China Film Star Cinema Line is a cinema management company jointly invested and established by China Film Group Corporation and Star Media Co., Ltd. with the approval of the government authorities. After 13 years of development, the annual box office has increased from 50 million yuan in 2002 to 2.447 billion yuan in 2014. In 2007, China Film Group Corporation became the largest shareholder of China Film Star Cinema Line, and China Film Star Cinema Line immediately became the only holding cinema company under China Film Group. In December 2010, China Film Group was approved by the State Council, the Central Propaganda Department, the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television, the Ministry of Finance and other competent departments to establish China Film Co., Ltd., which is about to become the largest state-owned listed company in the film and cultural industry in China.
