Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is the only civil aviation airport in Hong Kong. It was officially opened on July 6, 1998. Because the airport is located in Chek Lap Kok, north of Lantau Island in the New Territories, it is also called Chek Lap Kok Airport, but this is not an official usage. Hong Kong International Airport was rated as a five-star airport by Skytrax, and was named the world's best airport seven times between 2001 and 2010, and has always been among the top three. Hong Kong International Airport was rated as the best airport four times by the well-known business travel magazine "Business Travel" from 2006 to 2008 and in 2010. In the 2012 "Tourism Industry News" Tourism Awards, it was selected as the best for 10 consecutive sessions and was selected as the world's best by the Airports Council International
