Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center (Pazhou Complex) is the largest convention and exhibition center in Asia as of January 2009. The total construction area of the complex is 1.1 million square meters, with a total indoor exhibition area of 338,000 square meters and an outdoor exhibition area of 43,600 square meters.
The indoor exhibition area of Zone A is 130,000 square meters and the outdoor exhibition area is 30,000 square meters; the indoor exhibition area of Zone B is 128,000 square meters and the outdoor exhibition area is 13,600 square meters; the indoor exhibition area of Zone C is 80,000 square meters.
On June 19, 2014, the fourth phase expansion plan of Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center was approved. After the construction of the fourth phase, the exhibition area will reach 500,000 square meters, exceeding the 470,000 square meters in Hanover, Germany; the exhibition area of the entire Pazhou area will reach 660,000 square meters, the largest in the world.
