The new Rizhao Library is located at No. 169 Jinan Road and was completed and put into use on December 26, 2015. The overall building consists of five floors above ground and two floors underground, with a building area of 52,000 square meters and a total investment of about 320 million yuan. The city library currently has three floors above ground and one floor underground, with a construction area of about 32,000 square meters, a designed collection of 1.35 million books, 1,200 reading seats, and currently has a collection of 300,000 books. It is a comprehensive public library integrating "collection, lending, and reading".
