The World Merchants Center is located in the Qinyang Peninsula Brand Strategic Development Zone, Meijiang District, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province. It is designed by Professor He Jingtang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a master of Lingnan architecture, and a professor at South China University of Technology. Taking the image of traditional Hakka enclosed houses as the starting point and the word "gathering" as the design creativity, the four directions gather together, which implies the gathering of merchants from all over the world. The center is designed to be 5 stories high, adopting the symmetrical layout of modern classic architecture, and the building is elegant, stable and atmospheric. There are four functional areas in the center, including exhibitions, catering, etc.
The project was undertaken by Aoyuan Group (Meizhou) Co., Ltd. The project was officially started in April 2015, and the main body was capped in May 2016. The cost of the secondary decoration project, about 150 million yuan, was donated by merchants. The entire project was completed at the end of September 2017, and the 5th World Merchants Conference was held here.
